Halloween 2020 may look different this year due to COVID19 Pandemic. But like many good and bad surprises this year, the upcoming Halloween night will feature a spooky glorious skywatching – A rare second full moon of this month.
The full moon that will be visible on Oct. 31 be called the blue moon because it’s the second full moon of the same month after the harvest moon of Oct. 1 through Oct. 3.
The most interesting part is “For the first time since World War II, people in all parts of the world will be able to see the 2020 Halloween full moon.”
“It’s a myth that a full moon occurred every Halloween,” The last Halloween full moon visible around the globe came in 1944 and for some locations in 1955, but that didn’t include western North America and the western Pacific.
This year’s Halloween moon is so special that it will be visible in all parts of the globe. But that’s not mean each residence will have a view, Residents across both North America and South America will see it, as well Africa, all of Europe and much of Asia. But while Western Australians will see it, those in the central and eastern parts of the country will not.
The Halloween full moon will be so bright that it can be clearly visible, doesn’t matter if you’re in a crowded city or out on the farm. Just walk outside or on terrace, and take a look.
If you’re too busy watching horror movies in this Hallowen 2020, you’ll have to wait until 2039 for another global full moon. Full moons occur in October during the intervening years, just not on Halloween But not be seen all over the world.
