President Donald Trump is accepting oxygen and has started a course of steroids. Specialists said patients for whom that is the case frequently go through a few days in the emergency clinic in the most ideal situation.
At a news meeting Sunday morning, one of the doctors treating the president said he had started a course of the steroid dexamethasone Saturday after a drop in his oxygen levels. The president will get that “for the present,” Dr. Sean Dooley said.
The president’s doctor, Navy Cmdr. Sean Conley said that if Trump kept on looking and feel well, “we expect that we can anticipate a release as right on time as (Monday) to the White House, where he can proceed with his treatment course.”
That would not be the regular arrangement for most COVID-19 patients who require oxygen and have been put on steroids, said specialists who care for patients with the sickness brought about by the COVID.
